The Cost of Wrestling
Wrestling is a very affordable sport for athletes. The registration fees are reasonable and there is no need to purchase expensive specialized sporting equipment. The expenses involved in wrestling are as follows:
To become a part of the Leander High School Wrestling team, a wrestler must pay a fee for the season. That fee is currently $175 per wrestler. If there is more than one wrestler in a family, then the fee is $175 for the first wrestler and $150 for each additional wrestler. Each wrestler will receive a car decal and a personalized yard sign.
A $100 late fee is added to the registration cost for athletes registering after October 31st. This is to encourage early registration so we can process all of the necessary athlete paperwork and order workout clothes.
The only equipment that a wrestler is required to purchase is their wrestling shoes. These can be purchased at Dicks Sporting Goods, Academy or online at wrestlingmart.com or rudis.com.
